The cottage, which is set over one floor, has land measuring 1,200 square metres, which is located to the rear of the property.

The cottage has stone window and door surrounds with aluminium framed windows. The cottage is situated within the centre of the village of Paialvo, which has several cafe bars and a mini-market. The cottage is set on a road and may not be to everyone's liking.

The cottage is in a basically habitable state, though would benefit from some modernisation and renovation work. The main entrance to the cottage leads into a central hallway, which has a tiled floor. This hallway runs the depth of the cottage and there is an additional exterior access door, which is part glazed, leading out to the garden and annexes.

There are two bedrooms off the central hallway, both of which have tiled floors. The living room and kitchen is open plan and is situated at the rear of the cottage. This room also has a tiled floor and there is a large, traditional style fireplace. The kitchen has plumbing for a sink and drainer though these are not installed neither are any built in units or work surfaces. The bathroom is situated at the rear of the cottage and is accessed from the outside. The bathroom has a toilet and a wall mounted sink, but would require modernising if the property was to be a permanent or holiday residence.

The property has a garage, which has a a concrete floor and a corrugated metal roof. The garage is quite spacious and could house up to three vehicles. In addition to this the property also has a variety of stone and brick built annexes in varying states of disrepair. The property has 1,200 square metres of land which is terraced and has some mature shrubs.

The cottage is located in Paialvo, which has several cafes and a small mini-market. Paialvo is a popular village with many and has a main line train station near by providing easy access to both Lisbon and Coimbra.

The historic town of Tomar, which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, schools, university, bus and train stations, art galleries, museums and a cinema, is around a 10 minute drive from the house. Tomar is also home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, which was the southern European headquarters of the Knight Templars.  

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a quarter hours' drive from the house. Lisbon airport is service by several low cost airlines which have scheduled flights into and out of the United Kingdom.
