We offer single and shared rooms in our fully furnished house in Providencia, Santiago, Chile. The house is located in Providencia, an area much favoured by foreign students and Chileans alike, because of it safety and its closeness (10 minute bus ride) to the centre of Santiago, Universities, and nightlife. We have a bus stop just 20 seconds away, with 5 bus routes which will take you in different directions, and two blocks away a main road with another 7 bus routes. We are a 10 minute walk from the Metro (underground/Subway) stations of "Salvador" and "Santa Isabel". There are plenty of shops, bakeries, etc, in the neighbourhood and opposite the house there is an internet cafe, which is open till late (nevertheless we do intend to have broadband internet access installed in the near future).
As a resident you have full access to the common areas of the house which include the following:
- Living-dining room, with TV, telephone, dining table with chairs, couch, heater and Radio.
- Kitchen which is fully equipped with Microwave, cooker, Fridge, pots, pans, dishes and cutlery.
- Bathroom with hot running water and shower.
- Backyard with a table, chairs and a BBQ.
Regarding the Rooms themselves, they all fully furnished with beds (blankets, sheets, pillows, quilt), a desk, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Each room has a large window (so during the day youll have plenty of sunlight and fresh air). In the house there are a maximum of 5 residents, which means there is always a quiet place to be.
Each room has its own lock and key, so youll be the only person with access to your room. In any case the house is safe (as is the area) and directly across the road there is a company with watchman alert all night. If you have any specific necessities of extra furniture for example, we are happy to talk about it.
Our residents have usually made good friends and go out together. Last month they even rented a mini-van and drove up to the north of Chile. As you can see, the house is fully equipped so that your stay may be as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
The people who run the house (Marcelo and Isis are our names) don“t live in the house which gives the residents independence without someone watching what you do or don“t do (believe it or not this is something common in Chile with people who rent rooms).
We have rented ourselves, so we know how important it is to have absolute privacy as to what you do in your room. Just for the record, we live next door, and so are available to offer assistance in any way we can. We are bilingual (english/spanish).
Normally our residents are university students from abroad or chilean and Spanish is the common language used in the house.
Please contact us if you have any doubts.
