 The two storey house is connected to mains water and electricity and has 5,550 square metres of land. It is located within a rural location, with good views over the countryside, but is close to the historic town of Tomar.
The main entrance of the house is located to the front with a set of external steps to the front door, which is covered by a portico. The front door leads into a hallway, off which there is a double living room,with a large, traditional style fireplace to one corner of the room. The kitchen diner is also double aspect and has some wooden units. The kitchen and dining area is divided by a half wall, which could be removed if wanted. There are two double bedrooms to the ground floor, both of which have good views over the countryside. There is also a family sized bathroom.
There is a second hallway, which runs the depth of the house and contains the staircase which opens out onto a landing area. Off this landing area there are two further bedrooms one of which has patio doors to a terrace at the front of the house. There is also a second bathroom to this floor.
To the exterior of the property there is an annex which comprises a living room with a tiled floor, a summer kitchen and a room for housing machinery. In addition to this annex there are kennels. There is a single open fronted garage. There is a wide variety of fruit trees on the land including lemon, tangerine, orange, olive and fig. Although the property has been renovated it could benefit from some modernisation works.
The house is located on the outskirts of the village of Chćos in central Portugal. Chćos has several cafe bars, a butchers, bakery, mini-market and monthly vegetable market.
The larger, historic town of Tomar is approximately 10 minutes drive from Chćos. Tomar is a popular town and has all modern day amenities including supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, library, schools, university, cinema, bowling alley, weekly market and a hospital. The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' by car.
